History of PrivateRaise

PrivateRaise is the leading source for comprehensive analysis of private investments in public equity (PIPEs), Shelf Registrations, and Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs). Our service simplifies monitoring and researching transactions and the entities associated with these transactions including investors, placement agents, and law firms.

PrivateRaise also offers the only comprehensive database of alternative public offering transactions and a proprietary directory of market participants.

PrivateRaise was founded in March 2000, and since then, we have provided professional services to many of the world’s leading investment banks, hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms, law firms, and public corporations.

In July of 2008, PrivateRaise was acquired by DealFlow Media, a provider of independent research of alternative asset markets. The DealFlow/PrivateRaise partnership extends to 2003, when DealFlow Media launched its flagship publication The PIPEs Report. Since then, The PIPEs Report (now called The DealFlow Report) has become one of the most recognized brands on Wall Street, and PrivateRaise has been there to supply the data so readers could compare pricing terms, analyze trends, and identify potential investors in transactions.

In April of 2013 TheStreet purchased The DealFlow Report, The Life Settlements Report and PrivateRaise from DealFlowMedia to integrate into its institutional business, The Deal. The content and data found in these acquired assets have become a part of The Deal, the transaction information service used by over 40,000 investment banks, law firms, hedge funds and private equity firms to source new deals, perform due diligence and develop industry relationships.

In February of 2019, Euromoney PLC acquired The Deal and PrivateRaise as part of its NextGen portfolio of businesses. The first quarter of 2021 saw further updates with a renewed focus on the PrivateRaise SPACs product including improvements to advanced search and alerting capabilities.
